Job Description:
This visa allows you and any dependent family members included in your visa application to live as permanent residents in Australia.
Australian permanent residents can:
1. Live and work in Australia on a permanent basis
2. Study in Australia at school or university
3. Receive subsidised healthcare through Medicare and the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
4. Access certain social security payments (subject to waiting periods)
5. Be eligible for Australian citizenship (subject to the residency eligibility criteria)
6. Sponsor people for permanent residence.
Desired Candidate Profile:
While there is no requirement to engage migration agent, it is often advantageous to use a registered migration agent, who are professional in this field.
An RMA will:
1. be honest with you about your chances of securing the visa you are applying for
2. keep you informed about the progress of your application and any changes that may affect it
3. be contactable during business hours and tell you if they change their contact details.
4. act within the law, your best interests, and your instructions, and, protect your confidentiality
5. declare any interest they have that may affect your application and not act for you where there is a conflict
6. provide you with a written statement, before starting work, of the services to be provided, the fee and other costs and a similar statement at the end with services actually performed and fees charged
7. charge a reasonable fee and, if you pay in advance, keep this in a separate bank account
8. provide timely and correct advice and tell you in writing about the result of your application as soon as possible
