Ensure availability of the right quality and quantity of the required material for plant,
Manage R&M, O&M procurement and procurement of consumables,
registration of vendors & evaluation vendor’s performance.

Knowledge of procedures of procurement, materials management systems,
regulatory norms on taxation, duties, exim policies,
national sourcing markets,
Appreciation of criticality and application of major items procured.
