Job Description:
We are an internationally renowned mathematical, statistical, and strategic consulting firm in search of 2-3 full-time analysts to eventually work at our Headquarters located in Providence, Rhode Island in the United States. After an initial period of working from India, during which time we will be applying for the analysts’ H1-B visas, the successful applicant will work and train for a period of 2-3 months while being compensated for that period.
This qualitative analyst position would entail primarily working on projects in our dissertation consulting, academic journal article assistance, and format/style editing divisions:
• Format/style edits (grammar, spelling, reference checks, etc.) to dissertations, journal articles, and books.
• Dong online library research and writing literature reviews for academic journal articles, dissertations, or internal research for projects that our principal researchers are working on;
• Fixing up grammatical issues, content consistency, flow, logical reasoning, etc for dissertations or academic journal articles of our clients
• Planning qualitative methodologies for research studies (doctoral dissertations, mostly)
The job includes a great deal of independent research, logical reasoning, writing of academic works, and format and style editing. The successful analyst would be required to execute projects in virtually every qualitative methodology, and most reasonable formatting methods (APA, MLA, Turabian, etc). The successful analyst would also be introduced to projects in a range of disciplines, including psychology, education, nursing, and economics.
The job would begin with the candidate working from India starting immediately following the completion of a successful trial project. After a 2-3 month period where the successful analyst(s) demonstrates his or her skills and fit for the position, and we finalize the H1-B visa sponsorship, we would have the analyst(s) move to Rhode Island.
Desired Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a few incredibly hard-working and astoundingly brilliant individuals to join our team. Hours for a qualitative analyst at Minimax can be intense, so the candidate should be prepared for long hours and be able to conduct independent research. The candidate should be a writer and researcher, first and foremost. Comfort with editing is essential. An excellent grasp of grammar, eloquent writing style, great communication skills, positive attitude, around-the-clock and IMMEDIATE availability, immaculate attention to detail, high tolerance for long hours and tedious work, and a diligent work ethic are all necessary to apply for this job. Knowledge of APA editing standards is highly recommended. If the applicant does not have this knowledge, its immediate understanding would be required.
